The location is good, but there’s almost no sound insulation. The upstairs neighbours get ready for work at 4:00 in the morning, and the noise is especially loud over the bedroom.

A handy place to stay while exploring Ypres.

Being so close to the city center was great, but the apartment itself was in very poor condition. The living area got very hot because the window wouldn’t open. In the kitchen, the equipment was limited and outdated, the dishwasher didn’t work, and there were no oven instructions. The shower area also felt unhygienic, with mold near the door. Upstairs neighbours started working at 4:30 a.m., which disturbed our sleep.

The apartment is spacious and has what you need, though it could use a renovation and a proper clean, especially the bathroom. The location is ideal: five minutes on foot to the city center and eight to the Menin Gate.

We had a private entrance on the second floor, and everything looked good. The location worked well, with the option of a daytime parking permit or parking outside the center. Everything was within walking distance.
