The owners were friendly and helpful, and the shabby-chic interior had a nice feel. It's in a small village about 5km from Ypres, with a couple of quiet bars close by and plenty of parking just a 30-second walk away. The staircase inside could be challenging for older people. Apart from that, 10 out of 10.

A good spot for a bit of rest, with cities and villages like Brugges, Kortrijk, and Ieper close enough to visit. The place has everything you need.

The B&B is lovely and peaceful, but the room arrangement was awkward. You have to pass through both bedrooms to get to either bathroom, which is a real nuisance if the children are asleep. A ground-floor toilet with a sink, and perhaps a shower, would fix a lot, but there isn't one.
