The restaurant made a great impression on me. I ordered chicken pasta in red sauce with bread, and it was delicious, with a presentation that looked so good. Mr. Samuel's hospitality also made the visit more enjoyable. The team were polite and humble, which helped the hotel feel welcoming. Royal Beach Hotel has several room types, a swimming pool, a stocked bar, a multi-cuisine restaurant, and event spaces for different needs. I was impressed by this five-star property.

The food covers African and international options, and I really enjoyed the tasty local chicken. The restaurant and bar have plenty of variety. Rooms are very clean, and the stay felt friendly. VIP rooms start at 200USD. The hotel feels royal, just like its name, and can host several meetings and conferences. I can recommend it for a vacation or conference stay in Ouagadougou.

The French-only menu is a real problem for English-speaking guests, and the hotel should make everyone feel welcome. The dusty surroundings also mean the building needs renovation. The Royal Beach Hotel is okay, with plenty of room to improve its facilities and service. Average.

I spent two weeks there in October 2016 and had to switch rooms four times. One had a leaking roof, another flooded the bathroom after a shower, one had low water pressure, and the A/C didn't work in another. This “new” hotel needs serious, ongoing maintenance and repairs. I'm not impressed.

The pool is a nice escape from the busy streets. The entrance hall looks like it's from the 80s, and the service staff aren't very skilled. The overall style and service need improvement.
