Hotel Elitsa

The price and quality don't match, and the hotel is nowhere near what it used to be. I stayed here 10 years ago, and this time it was much, much worse. I was deeply disappointed, and at times disgusted. The room was horrendous: hair on the bed and in the bathroom, mold in the shower, an unwiped floor, and only half the towels changed. Lots of things were broken or worn out. Food quality and choice were both very poor. The location, the beer, and some staff were the only positives. I definitely wouldn't recommend it or return.

The location is the one real plus: the hotel is right by the beach, on the first line. Some of the staff are friendly, too. But being a 3-star hotel doesn't excuse the dirt and unhygienic conditions. Cleanliness is a necessity. There was hair in the bed, a dirty floor, and a moldy, old bathroom that made me afraid I'd come out dirtier than before. The food was disgusting and disappointing, poor quality and the same every day. At breakfast we had fish left over from the previous night's dinner. Parking was another problem: you leave the car right next to the road in a public, unsafe spot, yet pay 10€ a day. If you're young, avoid this place. It was really boring, and 90% of the guests seemed to be over 50.

The all-inclusive setup was well organized, with varied and sufficient food, local drinks included from 10-23, plus snacks and ice cream between meals. Staff in the restaurant, at reception, and the maids were all kind and respectful, and the manager was nice and friendly. The hotel is right on the beach, with a clean, fairly large pool and quick access to the sand. Sunbeds and umbrellas were free both by the pool and on the beach. Rooms were clean and spacious, with a shower bathroom and a balcony facing the sea and the forest. I warmly recommend it.

The beach was fine, and the food was somewhat okay, though it was cold. We stayed for a week, but nobody came to clean the room, and the air conditioner didn't work. We told reception, but a day later it still wasn't working. :)
