Hotel Panorama

The hotel is presented as three-star, but to me it's really two-star. It wasn't worth coming here. When we arrived, the balcony door was broken, so we had to go downstairs to report it. The poolside shower head was rusty and broken too. Broken pavement and damaged sewage drains around the property made it hazardous for the many children staying with their parents. Food was cold and there was no variety. The chefs cleared it away an hour before the stated end of service, and more than once a waitress took food from me while I was still eating. Staff didn't speak English, despite the manager telling us they could all communicate in it.

The pool itself was great, though the shallow end is 1.7m, which could unsettle nervous swimmers. The poolside area was poor and the electrics looked worrying, as shown in the photos. The rest of the hotel needs renovation. The bathrooms were in terrible condition, with the ceiling falling down. Patio doors had been broken into and never repaired, so they couldn't be locked. I had to fix my own door. The food was edible, but only warm, and there wasn't much choice. It barely changed from one day to the next. The grounds and hotel didn't look like the website pictures, which made me think the photos were taken years ago. One star, two at most.

We were shocked when we first saw the room. The floor was dirty, the sheets were full of sand, and both the room and bathroom smelled awful, like death. We asked for a better room, but were told ours was just fine. Later a service worker sprayed something with a strange smell, which made the room smell even worse. It's only our first few hours here and we already hate it. The rooms look dirty because they are dirty, and nobody cleans them. Definitely not a three-star hotel.

This feels like a two-star hotel, maybe even one. It's old and needs refurbishment, with lots of broken things around the property. Staff don't speak English. The room cleaning was poor. They mostly just emptied bins, didn't add soap, shampoo, towels, or toilet paper, didn't make beds or change sheets, and cleaned with one dirty bucket for the whole hotel. Rooms were cleaned around 4:30 in the afternoon. I didn't see them using any cleaning products. The food was cold and greasy, with the same things each day. They reused lunch food at dinner, the fruit was rotten, and there were never enough fries. Food labels didn't match what was served. There were also never enough forks, knives, spoons, or cups for tea and coffee. Restaurant staff didn't speak any English. The kids' pool splash feature didn't work, and the bottom turned white, which we could see after lots of chlorine was added each day. The main pool starts at 170cm, not great for children or teens wanting to play, or for anyone who can't swim. They added lots of chlorine to that pool each night too. Around it was dirty, with guest litter such as cups and cigarettes, as well as leaves. Pool lamps floated loosely on the surface. Open sewage drains around the pool were dangerous, and one night a helpless dog was swimming in the big pool. The lifeguard seemed racist toward English children, but not Romanian or Bulgarian ones. We only saw him when he had an issue with one of the English kids, and he called the pool "my pool". The pool bar is more like a falling-apart hut than a bar, and the bartenders don't understand English. The garden is dirty, neglected, and dark, with no lights. Broken drains and pavement make it hard to walk safely, with high curbs that aren't suitable for children or buggies. There are no benches, and the hotel area has no fence or security, which feels dangerous. The rooms are old and mostly broken. The TV is in Bulgarian apart from one English channel, BBC News. The bathroom mirror is at stomach height, not face height, and the bathroom ceiling is broken, as shown in the photos. It was hard to communicate in English at reception, where perhaps one person spoke it properly. The manager wasn't helpful or interested in guests. The lobby has a small TV that only plays adverts. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.
