Vita Park Hotel & Villas

I'm an independent travel agent, and I'd say don't stay here. The advertised pictures seem to show the best they could find, while the hotel itself is run down, with wires coming out of devices. The toilets were dirty and weren't cleaned often enough, and some staff were arrogant. It didn't even feel like a three-star place. Food was left out with flies around, and there were no paper towels for cleaning your hands. I could go on. We paid £5500 for two families, and it was a complete waste of money. Do not stay here!

We booked a large, attractive room with three beds, but were given a small, old, smelly room with two beds and a chair. That set the tone for a stay that felt like a scam. The AC didn't work and constantly leaked dirty water. There were roaches, and our bathroom had what looked like a whole mold zoo. The shower was tiny and unsanitary, with an uncovered drain that I stepped into twice, getting black mold goo on me. I also found pills under the bed and holes in the blankets and towels. Even after asking five times, nobody brought replacements. The food was awful, bland, greasy, and either undercooked or overcooked. Some guests hoarded the only decent food to show they could afford it, then left it untouched on their tables. Dishes and glasses were gross. One glass smelled so bad that our waiter gagged when I asked him about it. The outside of the hotel looked ugly, and there was nothing around it to do. The elevators were tiny and felt loose and wobbly. Staff everywhere were incredibly unhelpful, doing about as much as they were paid to do, almost nothing. Spare yourself the trouble, food poisoning and horror stories, and book somewhere else. It can't get worse than this.

Warning: there are thieves in the hotel restaurant, or at least that's what I suspect. My mother's phone was taken from the breakfast table after she left it unattended for two minutes. That's her fault, but the staff were very reluctant to help search for it. The hotel manager should know that Google Find My Device helped us locate it at an “abandoned” hotel, where employees were reportedly staying. It had been hidden under an outdoor air conditioning unit. This probably wasn't the work of tourists. The restaurant management still has a chance to apologize.

The room condition and meagre room service both contributed to my poor impression. WiFi was another issue: the lobby was the only place where I could get it. For activities, billiards was pretty cheap, the pool was acceptable, and the food wasn't as toxic as some earlier comments suggested. The place was quite miserable overall.
