8/10
Our room was spacious and nice, and we could cook in a large pot out in the garden. At night, Veliko Tarnovo's lights filled the view from the edge of the serpentine road; during the day, the town could be seen from above. The hole in the door was kind of funny, but also a bit unpleasant.

2/10
For the price, they offer too little, and there's no view anymore. Cleanliness gets zero stars. I'd give the staff one star, though, because the night security person was very helpful.
