Park hotel Arbanasi

We’ll definitely return. The room was roomy and had a spectacular view, and there’s free parking. We also liked the friendly staff, the heated indoor pool, and the restaurant. Breakfast was decent, too.

The view is the one real plus, and that comes from the natural setting rather than anything the hotel has done. The rest of the property looks like it’s falling apart and badly needs renovation. Debris from peeling plaster covered our terrace, which felt both unpleasant and unsafe. When we arrived, nobody was at reception, so we had to look around for someone to check us in. Our room was old and poorly kept. The bathroom drain stopper was broken, and we had to take it out ourselves to let the water drain. The bathtub was so tiny that an adult couldn’t fit comfortably, and even our 4-year-old, who weighs only 16kg, struggled with it. There weren’t enough wardrobe hangers for unpacking, and getting extras from staff took a while. The pool water was pleasantly warm, but the surrounding area was dirty and neglected. There wasn’t a restroom nearby, which was inconvenient. Breakfast had very few choices. The price simply didn’t match the quality or service. It might have potential with proper renovation and management, but in its current condition, I wouldn’t recommend it.

We’d stayed here in previous years and it was okay, but the place is falling apart now. We’re here for two nights, and they asked us to pay before check-in. If we hadn’t paid already, we would’ve left. The breakfast is included in the room price, though we don’t eat in the morning and only wanted coffee. The coffee machine was broken, and all we got was, “Yeah, it’s not working, sorry!” They had an espresso machine, so I asked for a coffee from that, but they served it in a plastic cup meant for water or juice. The room light wasn’t working either. They said they’d fix it the next day, but they didn’t. Now the room card has stopped working, and I’ve been waiting at reception for 15 minutes with nobody here.

The restaurant was a good part of my stay, with tasty food at more than decent prices. The location is lovely, close to the center and surrounded by pleasant scenery. The hotel is large and has most things you might need, including massage, a pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. My room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were around and helpful. I went in with very low expectations after booking, and that probably helped me enjoy what was a decent experience. Still, the four-star rating doesn’t fit. It barely feels like two stars. There aren’t enough parking spaces for all the guests, the furniture is worn, and the pool ceiling was dirty. Condensation left dirty drops falling into the pool. My room wasn’t very clean either, though the sheets were immaculate. There were dust clumps and cobwebs in every corner, and the bathroom was worn and needs investment. Breakfast was the same each day, with limited options. I’d say give it a try once, but I’m not sure I’d stay here again.
