The pool area felt poorly maintained, including the sunbeds, and its spot beside the road, sidewalks, bus stop and rubbish bins took away any sense of privacy or relaxation. Inside, cleanliness was terrible. The rooms looked dusty and dated: the fridge stopped when the room card was removed, the toilet barely flushed and clogged with very little paper, and the shower head quit, sending water down the hose. I switched rooms, but the next one had air conditioning trouble. My friends' room couldn't ventilate properly because of its layout. The staff seemed bored, annoyed and unprofessional, and one side of the pool table was badly peeling. Breakfast offered only four choices, and the coffee tasted like the cheapest vending machine kind. It's a shame, because with some care and attention to detail this could be a decent place. This was the worst holiday I've ever had.

A decent choice for a short break in Balchik, with what you need for the price. The staff were nice, breakfast was included with four good options, and checkout was at 12.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the breakfast, though limited in choice, was tasty and filling with decent portions. For the price, the hotel offers great value in this area. It's an older place that could use repairs and some updating, but the staff are friendly. There's also a very hot sauna, an outdoor pool and a jacuzzi.

Breakfast was great, and the staff do their best to make this old hotel feel welcoming. It could use more attention to cleaning details. It's a bit far from the beach but close to the castle, and good value overall.

The maid came every day, and the rooms were fairly clean, though the shower head, walls and floor show their age. The staff are pleasant and can help with information. You're near the beach, main sights and restaurants; breakfast and dinner cost extra, while guests can use the pool for free. I had a nice stay.
