The host offered a small discount after we asked, but the money was later taken from the account of the friend who had booked through an online platform. We eventually changed rooms, though the second was smaller, and its shower flooded after every use. The first room was chilly and had a mattress full of bed bugs. I woke up itching, showed the infested mattress to the host, and he denied there was a problem. I even struggled to get rid of the bugs once I was back home. The hotel is well positioned for the gondola, but the service and quality were poor. Avoid this place.

We spent a full week here. Some friends had bugs in their beds and had to change rooms, while we were lucky to get a clean, warm room. On December 31st, we also received a bottle of champagne and some chocolate.

The bedsheets were filthy, stained, and dusty, and I ended up buying cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom because I was worried about catching a skin disease. It’s the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I don’t think they’ve cleaned the rooms since 2020. I’ll never consider staying here again. Save your money!

Good value for the money, with clean, warm rooms and very friendly people. It was quiet at night, so I slept well. Convenient for both the town centre and gondola, which is a 12-minute walk away.

The staff were so good, and we even received a New Year gift, which was amazing! It’s a great base for a balanced holiday, about a 10-minute walk from the ski gondola and 10-15 minutes from the centre of Bansko. 10/10.
