Grand Royale Apartment Complex & Spa

I've been here twice, and it keeps making my top picks when I come to Bansko. I was tempted to give it four stars because a few things could improve, but for what you get, I just can't. For the price, you get an apartment rather than just a room, which is a big plus when you're skiing and need space for equipment to dry. There's also plenty of room in the living room to spend an evening with friends if you stay in. The ski storage room is quite large. The food is good. Breakfast has what you need for different diets, and dinner has several main courses plus barbecue cooked on the spot. The main course selection could sometimes be better. The spa is great, with a big pool, Jacuzzi, saunas, and complimentary water and lemonade. The Jacuzzi has seen better days and needs attention, but it's still nice to soak in after skiing. The lobby and bar are also great places to spend some time at night. Keep it up!

The food was very good, and we really enjoyed the pool and spa. We had five wonderful days here. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the barman. We'd be happy to come back.

Thanks for your hospitality. This was our second stay at Grand Royale, and it feels like our home in Bansko. The location is very good, and the rooms and cleanliness were really nice. Maria from the Reservation department was very helpful with the booking and our room, so thank you, Maria. We had no language barrier with the staff. Everyone I spoke to could speak English.

The Two-Bedroom Apartment worked well for our family: it had a spacious living room, a sofa facing a smart TV with YouTube, Netflix and other apps, plus big windows looking out at the surrounding nature. The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly. The location was good too. We also loved the food on half board, with excellent breakfast and dinner buffets in a roomy dining area. In December 2025, the fireplace and holiday decorations gave the place a cozy but elegant feel. There’s an indoor pool, sauna, spa massages and a kids’ playroom, and the bartender, mister George, made even better cocktails. A very good choice for a family with kids.
