Hotel Mura

The location worked well, just down the main road beside the river, and we took the free hotel shuttle to the lifts a couple of mornings. We loved breakfast, especially being served honey straight from the comb. The mini fridge was useful for keeping milk, and as Brits we’d brought a travel kettle for tea. Our room was a great size, the bathrooms were massive, and both balconies had lovely views, which we hadn’t expected. We were worried it might be cold, but the rooms and hotel were very warm. The staff were all friendly, including the lovely restaurant lady who put up with us and the children. We’d definitely stay again.

Breakfast was included and good enough to set us up for the day. We tried the buffet dinner a couple of times too, which was okay and reasonably priced. There’s a cosy bar area with a fire and pool table for relaxing. The hotel is handy for the old town. The gondola isn’t right outside, but it’s around a 10-minute walk, and the free shuttle helps. Our driver was good fun. The room was cleaned daily and stayed lovely and warm. We also had a fridge for milk for our boy and beer for us, plus a room for drying ski gear, which came in very handy.

The boys said they had a great trip. My husband only noticed he’d lost his phone when he was on the way to the airport, and I wasn’t on the holiday. I emailed the hotel, and Katya was fantastic at helping sort it out. She kept me updated with the information and questions needed to get the phone back. We’re very grateful for the customer service.

The room was spacious, clean, really warm, and had a great mountain view. Food was fresh, tasty, and there was plenty to choose from. The location is excellent, around a 2-minute drive after entering the city and 3 minutes from the nearest ski lift. There was a payment issue related to the booking reservation, but the staff handled it quickly, kindly, and professionally, and got it sorted properly. For the price, this is a great hotel.
