We ended up staying a whole month and were sad when it was time to go. The staff were lovely, the hotel was great, the heating worked well, and getting around from there was easy. I felt better leaving the car in the free parking at the back, especially with the snowy roads and my worries about parking outside. The spa downstairs seemed a bit pricey if just one or two people wanted to use it often. For a family on a short holiday, though, it would be great.

The one thing I appreciated was the reception team, who were polite and professional. The rest was a letdown: breakfast was mediocre, and the spa shuts at 7:30 p.m. For a hotel serving winter visitors, that closing time is unacceptable.

I’ve stayed at Orbilux twice for a few weeks each time while working remotely, and both stays made me happy. Desi at reception was especially friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely come back the next time I’m in Bansko.

The location was unbeatable, and the shuttle to the gondola made getting to the slopes easy. I could also buy ski passes at reception, which saved me from waiting in long resort queues. The hotel was clean throughout, including both the rooms and shared spaces. Service was great from arrival: Lucy was especially polite, professional, and easy-going, and the man at reception was just as helpful and quick to deal with questions or requests. The staff clearly care about guests. I had a wonderful stay and will return.

We loved the view from our room, it made the stay unforgettable. Lucy helped us with everything and made sure we were comfortable. The man at reception was friendly, spoke excellent English, and was ready to answer our questions. We’ll definitely come back and would recommend the hotel.
