Royal Bansko Aparthotel

It's a peaceful place with nice, well cleaned rooms. Service is very good, and the staff are quick to respond. The food is delicious and fresh, with seasonal fruit and vegetables from local producers that taste great. I recommend it for a vacation, especially for families with children.

The rooms were dirty, dusty, and full of insects, with broken shower doors and handles. If cleanliness and basic respect matter to you, stay far away. This place felt unsafe as well as unprofessional. At night, the so-called “security” was aggressive. The older man who was asleep during his shift grabbed our arms, pushed us, and screamed because we were waiting for our key. The bartender called me a liar and “disrespectful” after I accidentally said A104 instead of B104. I had the number right, just the wrong letter. Staff yelled at guests for asking for a glass of WATER even two minutes after lunch ended. Miro was the only person who was consistently polite at first. When we complained, though, he just said, “don't take it personal, it's a misunderstanding.” That doesn't excuse how the rest of the staff treated us. EDIT: Since I posted this, MIRO has also started being rude. For the whole week, playing music in the lobby hadn't been a problem, then he got mad. I didn't want to waste my food, so I took my plate to the activity room. He followed me and said we couldn't take plates because the cleaners had complained, which didn't make sense to me since I'd always taken my plate to the bar anyway :) Worst experience ever. They're the rudest people I've met so far. A very nice way of presenting their culture.

The food was exactly the same each day, with no variety, and the location was inconvenient. Cleaning barely happened. The cleaners came just once in 10 days, which is unacceptable for a hotel. Staff were rude and aggressive, especially the night security guard/receptionist. Their unprofessional behavior made us uncomfortable. A very poor experience, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The arcade is nice and the food is good. It's a huge minus that you can't have a drink in the lobby.
