The Springs

The apartment was a good size and very warm thanks to the floor heating, and the pool was very big and warm. The sauna felt a bit cold overall. Those parts of the stay were alright. Christmas meals were very disappointing. The restaurant staff seemed disengaged and served cold food, and the food itself wasn't good. The management wasn't great either. They promised to change the distasteful music the following days, but it continued.

The food and the view were both nice, and the rooms were warm and clean. They do look a bit old, though, with dirty curtains and a ceiling that seems overdue for a freshen-up. The bed had springs and wasn't comfortable. It was cold outside the rooms, which doesn't work well for kids if you're heading to the lovely warm pool. The restaurant was chilly too, and the waiters sometimes forgot things. You can tell the staff are trying, but it's hard to know if anyone is encouraging them to improve. The owner doesn't seem to keep up with newer hotel standards or service.

That gorgeous view and the mineral water with its healing qualities couldn't make this place worth the stay. Service was very poor and the food was terrible. The sheets felt like polishing paper, the spa wasn't working properly, and the steam bath was very dirty and often out of order. We'd booked a long weekend, but on Saturday morning a mower woke us up. Then came hours of loud construction, with a concrete mixer, excavator and emery. There was no way to relax or enjoy the vacation. Food portions were small, though given the quality that may have been for the best. The food also seemed to fall below sanitary standards. Kids' portions were half the size but charged at the full price. There were no cold drinks, and the wine list had only three wines. Breakfast was missing things like plates, cups or food, and nobody was around to help. The coffee was awful. Most of the personnel were unfriendly, with one exception. I wouldn't recommend this place even at its price.

The restaurant food was good and its staff were flawless. The pool water was really warm, which was nice, but the fog inside was so thick you couldn't see more than a meter ahead. Rooms were good apart from the bad beds. We weren't greeted warmly when we arrived. Later, after I made a small mistake, a staff member got angry, hung up on me and didn't answer when I called back. We eventually sorted it out. There's no exchange office nearby, though card payment is available.
