The staff made this stay, especially the receptionist who followed up with the local airport transfer company when there was a problem with my booking. I’d arranged it directly, not through the hotel, but he still went out of his way to help. The hotel is handy for both the old town and gondola, and after time on the mountain we really appreciated the pool, sauna and gym. Our junior suite had a sofa bed that was probably the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Breakfast had a tasty mix of fresh hot and cold food, juices and bean-to-cup coffee. We couldn’t have enjoyed it more.

The spa was a lovely way to unwind after skiing, with a warm pool, jacuzzi, and both wet and dry saunas. My friend and I spent a ski weekend at Bulgaria Wellness in early January and had a fantastic time. Our room was roomy and comfortable, and even had a handy foldable drying rack. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was delicious. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. I’d happily come back.

The location is amazing, and it’s a cozy, very nice hotel with great staff. But two friends of mine came down with scabies, in two separate rooms. They really need to clean the rooms and beds better.

After a day on the slopes, the warm pool in the spa was a real highlight. Bulgaria Wellness Hotel is also just a five-minute walk from the ski gondola, which is handy for winter sports. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, and the staff were attentive and very friendly. I’d highly recommend staying here.
