New Bakalov House

The beds were really comfortable, and waking up to the sounds of nature outside the window was lovely. The house has two sections, one with apartments and another with rooms in the main house. It sits in a beautiful spot, with a lovely garden, welcoming owners, and cozy accommodation surrounded by gorgeous scenery. There are some nice restaurants nearby too. A great place to slow down and get back to nature.

The backyard looked nothing like the photos, and we ended up having to put the furniture together and clean it ourselves. Inside, the house was extremely dirty and clearly not being cared for properly. There were dog hairs and spiderwebs all over, even in the bathroom, where you’d expect things to be clean. The shower in our bathroom was broken. Maybe the place was lovely a few years ago, but our stay was unpleasant.

I stayed in the little house on my own and really enjoyed it. The village feels like something from a fairytale, and the owners were friendly and helpful. The dogs were adorable, playful, and lovely company. I’m already hoping to return, and I’d definitely recommend a visit.

Bozentzi village is a wonderful setting for this spacious house, with a lovely back garden and an inside mehana. It’s one of the few dog friendly places around. The hosts are polite and really nice, speak English and Bulgarian, and do their best to make your stay pleasant.
