Byala Vista Cliffs

The best thing was the view from up the hill. The rest of our stay was very bad. We were a family of three, there from September 1st - September 7th 2024. Friends who'd arrived a day earlier warned us, so when we got in late at night, I wanted to check that everything was clean. The receptionist seemed irritated and asked, “Did you come to inspect us?” The dim lighting hid any obvious dirt at first. The next morning the chairs were so stained and dirty I covered them with towels rather than sit on them. There was a moldy smell in the bedroom on the first night, then it got worse on later nights, especially with the balcony door closed. We found that it came from the moldy bathroom wall, probably from under the laminate floor. The bathroom doorknob was broken, and there were insects on the floor that looked a lot like bed cockroaches, as I later realized. The mattress was full of sand, and the shower drain was clogged, though that seems common. The path to the beach was overgrown with thorny weeds, the stairs felt unsafe, and a pipe drained into the sea, sometimes onto the beach. Pictures attached. Don't go there.
