The furniture was old, creaky and uncomfortable, and the bathroom was dated. That might have been acceptable at a price that matched the condition, but we paid New Year’s Eve rates like those of a five-star hotel. We knew from the photos that the place wasn’t luxurious, but hoped we’d still have a good time. The reality was really disappointing. My two children and I were put in one room. The bedroom creaked with even the slightest movement, as if it might fall apart. One child had an uncomfortable old folding armchair to sleep on, and the other was given a narrow little extra bed. There was one wardrobe with three hangers and no shelves, so we had to leave our clothes in bags. The “fully equipped kitchen” didn’t even have one sharp knife. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, and hope you don’t end up in the same situation.

We stayed here in winter and found the room warm and comfortable. The hostess was kind and helpful, and looked after what guests needed. Everything we could want was available, including a well-equipped kitchen. The price was very appealing too. We’d happily stay again.

After a whole day freezing on the slopes, this was a good place to come back to. It was clean and quite warm, and the people were friendly, always nearby if needed. We still had complete independence. A good choice if luxury isn’t important to you.

There’s plenty of space for luggage, and the beds are comfortable. We had extra blankets and pillows, plus big terraces with ashtrays. The kitchen has spices and enough cooking gear as long as several groups aren’t all gathering there at once. Two large tables, one in the kitchen and another in the next room, work well for a big group or two smaller ones. The hostess was lovely and quick to help: I asked for a stove in mid-August and got one right away. Bringing my dog was no problem. One thing to know is that the map location is wrong. The house is next to the Bellona Hotel.
