Hotel Yaev

The room was clean and really nice, and the restaurant food was okay, nothing fancy. The pool and SPA facilities were a total mess. The outdoor pool was under repair, while the indoor one was tiny and seemed meant only for children.

The grounds are spacious and tidy, with a large park and children's areas both inside and out. The room we had was big and neat, though it wasn't well maintained and the bathroom fell short of what we expected. The restaurant is good, but vegetarian choices are limited. I assume events are a big part of their business. There was a wedding during our stay, and they told us about it when we called to reserve. There is also a pool, but it wasn't well maintained. We didn't use the indoor pool or spa.

A lovely garden, clean rooms, polite staff, and decent food. It was a surprise to find a place like this in a small village away from the main roads. The garden feels like a little paradise, especially on a summer evening. You can enjoy the tasty food along with the sound of the artificial waterfall and the atmosphere. There are outdoor and indoor pools, though the indoor one is a bit small, plus a very nice children's corner inside.

The big garden, with its lovely flowers and arches, was the one good thing. Everything else left us disappointed. The rooms and facilities are old and dirty, and the pool was unclean, with even a small frog swimming in it. It's much too expensive for what you get, including the rooms, food, and drinks. A large beer was 4.90lv in a village. Food often arrived cold and at least an hour late. We waited 45 minutes for coffee and beer, then went to collect them ourselves. After asking two different waitresses three times to clear the table, we did it ourselves. The young waitresses seemed overwhelmed, slow, inexperienced, inattentive, and impolite. The manager was around most of the time but offered no support to staff or guests. The children's playground is a nice idea, but it's homemade and unsafe, with sharp edges and splinters. The unprofessional service and high prices spoil the place.
