We found the price very cheap, and the owners were really friendly. There’s room to park your car, and their homemade marmalade is amazing. The main drawback is that there are no shutters, so it may not suit you if you like to sleep in a dark room.

Breakfast was made fresh when we asked for it, and it was good and genuine. This is a lovely 19th-century house in the heart of Koprivshtitsa, with an authentic feel that gives you a taste of life in that era. Our room was simple, just a bed, an old TV, and a sofa, but it was clean and warm. The bathroom was new and en suite. Excellent value for money, and highly recommended if you want to experience the real 19th-century way of living.

We managed to park successfully in the end, though the parking situation was a little tricky. The staff were very nice and helpful, and we liked the traditional breakfast. The location was very good.
