The garden is beautifully done and looks out over Koprivshtitsa, with an outdoor barbecue as well. Inside, the rooms are spacious and clean, decorated in a traditional Bulgarian style. The kitchen is stocked with all the utensils you need, a large fridge, and a drinks fridge where you can buy drinks from the hosts. The huge dining room is soundproof, well lit, heats up quickly, and has the same lovely Bulgarian style. Breakfast is included: delicious homemade mekitsi with cheese and jam, ayran, and coffee served separately. We were charmed and will definitely come back. 🌷🎉🤍

The houses are well built and quite comfortable for a pleasant weekend with a big group. The yard could use some attention because of wear and tear. The people looking after the houses were extremely unwelcoming and unfriendly, with poor customer service. In winter the larger tavern in the yard can’t be used, and the fireplace in the small tavern beneath one of the houses can’t be lit unless the owners decide to allow it. Good work overall, but Bulgarian.

The taverns were well equipped for cooking, and the houses were warm, spotless and in a great spot. I’m basing this on two visits. There were some downsides: the hostess came across as rude, abrupt and rather arrogant, and even though we rented both houses, one tavern stayed locked. Coffee, tea and water at breakfast cost extra.

It’s a handy place to stay, though the hosts weren’t very welcoming. The first day’s breakfast was "abundant" in name only. And during the day, there’s no wood provided for the fireplace in the shared room.
