Lavanda Bed and Breakfast

The food is a must-try, and the whole setting is wonderfully peaceful. At Lavanda B&B in Kovachevitsa, you get fresh air, nature, and a chance to properly unwind. Highly recommend for a serene getaway!

We enjoyed two memorable nights at Lavanda Restaurant with Rooms in Kovachevitsa. Boyko looked after us so well and made us feel at home. The village is beautifully maintained, with plenty of hiking options and a traditional Bulgarian style that really leaves an impression. We stayed in the spacious Lavender Room, where the bed was very comfortable, and you can choose your pillows. The room had all the amenities we needed. The house has a charming feel, a lovely courtyard to lounge in, and a cosy winter garden for cooler days. Nights in the village are absolutely quiet. Breakfast was delightful: mekitzi and pancakes with homemade jams, plus scrambled eggs with herbs and sudjuk. The ingredients were locally sourced and very tasty. At dinner we had tomato salad, grilled eggplant and cheese, sausages, and a quiche with zucchini and wild mushrooms. We finished with chocolate cake and walnut digestive. It’s a stay we’ll remember fondly.

We only ate at the restaurant. The menu is small, just 5-7 items, but everything was fresh and nicely cooked. They grow some ingredients themselves and get others from gardens belonging to people in the village. It all tasted so good.

Lavanda is a beautiful complex in a lovely setting, and it exceeded our expectations completely. The owners have thought through every detail, from fresh flowers in the room to the incredible, thoughtfully cooked meals and friendly tips on where to hike and explore. It’s a relaxing paradise. Highly recommend.
