Hotel Mura All Inclusive

The people working at Mura made our holiday. Everyone we dealt with was lovely, polite, and hardworking. The team was international, with people from Bali, Romania, France, and Bulgaria, though staff rotated between the hotels, so it was hard to get to know them. We felt for them when some guests were rude and left their plates and glasses behind. We cleared our own table and took things to the cleaning station, partly to show our children some consideration for other people and the shared space. A special thank you to Tzvetelina (Molly), who stayed professional and kind even when guests were harsh with her; Andrey, who cleaned carefully every day and was cheerful and considerate; Edi Picolo and all the Indonesian staff (Bali), who were always happy and helpful; and Svetoslav (Svetko), who greeted us with a smile after our runs. Kliment, the Hotel Manager, was a gracious host and clearly cares about his staff and guests. His customer service made it easy to see why he represents Mura so well. Across the hotel, cleaning was of a very high standard, with staff constantly tidying up. There is a reception seating area with a bar, a pool table upstairs, a shop below it, and outdoor seating on both sides. Mura is on a pedestrian stretch, though taxis and buses can enter. It's the third hotel from the end of the 6km beach and sits beside Gergana and Slavuna, all right on the beach. Across from it is the Baltata nature reserve, where we ran most days before continuing along the coast road toward Balchik. The Albena 'train' stops outside and regularly goes to town, about 1km away, with shops and restaurants. You can also walk or cycle along the parallel coast road, where there are more shops, including a 24/7 shop, a massage place, a small medical facility, restaurants, a foot fish bar where tiny fish eat dead skin from your feet, and outdoor exercise areas. There was also a stage opposite the Maritim hotel. We caught a local Bulgarian band there one evening and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Thanks to the staff for their hospitality. It went a long way toward making our stay special.

The beachside setting and sea-view rooms are great. Everyone was kind and welcoming, and the food was very good, with drinks that were fine too. Well done, Mura. Check-in was 14.07 and check-out was on 19.07.2025.

The room looked out toward the forest, so it was quiet and the air felt really fresh. This was my sixth year at Mura, and I still love being able to step straight out of the hotel onto the beach at Albena. They renovated the rooms this year and ours was great, with a big bed and a TV I never switched on because we were always at the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room and bathroom were cleaned every day.

We knew there were bad reviews before we went, but we were a group of friends hoping the kids could have a holiday together. Someone had recommended the place, and we didn't think it could really be as bad as people said. It was. The hotel feels old and poorly maintained, with dirty rooms, dated furniture, and a terrible restaurant. Nothing seemed good quality, and I can't understand how they are allowed to operate or describe it as four or three stars. Maybe it was a four-star hotel back in 2001, but it has not been renovated since then. Don't trust the website photos. The ones we saw were of a one-bedroom apartment. Check the bad reviews on other sites, because unfortunately they were right. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
