I can't recommend this hotel. It felt abandoned. The staff were rude and seemed unable to deal with guests. The hotel was apparently in the process of being sold after the pandemic. The public areas had been left to deteriorate: the pool and bowling area were abandoned, and the restaurant was closed and nearly broken. I also couldn't tell whether anyone changed the room linen. We booked one night through Booking but never stayed there. We left our bags, went out to dinner, then came back, picked them up, and moved to another hotel in the old city with welcoming hosts. When I called the hotel, they said they would return the payment, and they canceled the Booking reservation. But they didn't answer calls or messages from Booking afterward. In the end, I wasn't refunded, and the hotel hadn't paid Booking either. It felt like a scam. The manager at reception was extremely rude from the start, arguing and showing no idea how to speak to guests.

The location was good, and checking in early was no trouble. The staff were friendly, but the hotel was old and poorly maintained. Our room wasn't serviced during our three-night stay. It was dusty, with a thin blanket, awful old pillows, stains on the mattress topper, broken bedside lights, and no trash can. In the bathroom, there was mold, peeling ceiling paint, a tiny trash can, and an old, dirty toilet brush. The restaurant was cold in the morning, allowed smoking, and was closed for dinner. Breakfast wasn't the continental breakfast advertised. There was no designated parking, and the pool, bowling, and snooker areas weren't operating.

The view was bad, and the service was awful. There was no soap in the bathroom, the TV kept misbehaving, and the air conditioning didn't work at all. Staff were kicking and arguing with people. DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!

For a budget stay, it's a good hotel right in the center of Lovech. The room was clean, though it could use some refurbishment. The pillow was too big for me.
