The hotel's condition didn't feel up to a 4-star standard, so we left after finding the room hygiene unacceptable. At arrival, the whole hotel smelled strongly of sewage. We were told that this was “normal” in August because of the wind. Room 505 was spacious and had a nice forest and sea view, but the bed linen hadn't been changed, there was hair on the pillows, and the bathroom and toilet were dirty. They offered us another room and even said the manager could clean personally, but the overall condition stayed the same. We'd paid €510 in advance and didn't feel the services reflected a genuine 4-star hotel. Travelers should be cautious about booking. Experiență dezamăgitoare.

We stayed only one night, then moved to another hotel by the beach and town centre because everything was too far away. The hotel itself is very nice, but reaching the beach means using an old wooden staircase that, in my opinion, doesn't feel very safe.

I rarely post negative reviews, but our stay was a huge letdown and didn't come close to what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. The apartment was dirty and dusty, and clearly hadn't been cleaned properly before we arrived. The fridge was yellowed, rusty inside, and unpleasant to use. There was mold, and the kettle was full of limescale, which is unacceptable in any hotel, especially one advertised as 4 stars. There was a coffee machine but no coffee, even though I specifically mentioned it, and we also had no kitchen napkins or basic supplies. Getting to the beach felt dangerous because the old stairs looked rotten and didn't seem safe at all. The security guard at the gate was another unpleasant part of the stay. He was an older man, extremely rude, and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. This was nowhere near 4-star standards. To me, it was a maximum 2-star experience. I'm writing this because it reflects what actually happened during our stay, not out of spite.

A lovely place, though the location doesn't feel as good as it used to. Anyone who lived in Romania in the 90s might remember Eforie Nord.
