Sunrise All Suites Resort - All Inclusive

The place is beautiful and the hotel itself is good, with very good food, though it could be better. Wi-Fi is poor and doesn't reach everywhere, and the beach is 400 meters from the hotel. The water is cold. Some staff don't speak English, so they don't always understand what you need. Bring the country's currency, as they don't take euros, only Bulgarian currency.

The room was so dimly lit it felt like a graveyard, really uncomfortable. I regret spending my vacation here. The food was cold, the rice very oily, and the soup was just oily broth.

The food was delicious and varied, and the staff were friendly, if a bit stiff. Our room didn't match the advert: we'd booked a seaside room but were given one on the sea side with no sea view, just as small glimpse of the water at the edge. They argued about it until we spoke to the agency, then gave us a new room, despite having said there were none left. The rooms need updating, and cleaning could be better. The lift is quite old too. The surroundings need more care, especially the lake and path to the sea. Pool water was very cold, not suitable for little kids even on hot days.

The one bright spot was the warm, friendly staff at the bar near the à la carte restaurant and in the restaurant itself. They were really nice. Everything else fell well short of what I expected. The food was mediocre, with little flavor or variety. Rooms felt dated and worn, weren't well maintained, and had obvious cleanliness problems. One night I found a scolopendra in the room. The beach also didn't feel clean or looked after. The hotel might have been great once, but now it feels completely neglected and poorly maintained.
