Skerzzo Guesthouse

Having parking was the main reason I booked, and the price was good. Wi-Fi worked fine too. The location is within walking distance of the singing fountains and not too far from the old town. My room was underground, so there was no view, and the furniture felt cheap. The shower water ran out across the bathroom floor. Still, it was tidy and fine for a couple of days.

I checked in late, but they sent instructions with pictures, so getting in was really easy. The toilet was separate and comfortable, and the hot tub and refrigerator were both working.

There are loads of pubs and restaurants nearby, and the guest house has a lovely atmosphere. It was clean and cozy, with automatic lighting on the stairs. The location is excellent. It was a little noisy because the wooden doors are thin and the climatics make noise. There’s no food there, as far as I could see.

The bathroom was in very, very bad condition. The toilet works with a pump, and there was a note warning that it might flood the bathroom with dirty water. There were spiders everywhere, and the mat outside the bathroom was filthy. The rooms were dirty and smelled awful, with no air conditioning. They were below ground, despite being described as ground level, and smelled damp and moldy. The receptionist said we’d have to wait 10 minutes for hot water to come through the pipes. Such a horrible place!
