Festa Via Pontica

The food tasted good, but it ran out. The hotel itself is nice, though it needs renovation: the carpet is worn and has some pretty large, unpleasant stains. The pool was rather cold, and the spa only stays open until 6:30 p.m. There weren’t any complimentary items in the room. I’m not happy with my stay and wouldn’t come again, sorry 😔

Our room faced straight toward the beach and had an amazing balcony. The buffet was consistently good, with lots of variety, and everything from the grilled food to the antipasti was delicious. The spa and pool area were nice too. Great location and service, we had a blast and will definitely return!

The meals and drinks were excellent, and the staff were helpful and spoke good English. My wife and I had an almost entirely enjoyable all-inclusive week. It’s well suited to a beach holiday and families with young children, who had evening entertainment. There wasn’t adult entertainment, though, and information about what was available was lacking. As seniors, we could have used more comfortable, higher seats outside. Wheelchair users may find the steps to the spa difficult. The hotel is in a suburb of Pomorie, with not much to do outside the property. The Thracian tomb is about a 15-minute walk away, and the 5 leva entry fee was money well spent.

Staff are helpful, and the public beach is nearby, though it can get crowded. Food is OK, with lots of restaurants around, so shop around; the shops farther from the hotel are cheaper. The drink selection isn’t great, and the small pool area doesn’t serve alcohol. Lifeguards are usually asleep or on their phones, so make sure you can swim before going in 🤣
