Guest House Villa Rose

It’s okay.

The attic terrace is lovely in the evening, with a wonderful view of the Balkans. It’s a peaceful villa area, around 1 km from the city and 2 from the center. This is a good spot for people on holiday who want quiet, though it isn’t luxurious and there’s no air conditioning. The rooms get a bit warm in the afternoon, but the price is fair for what you get. The hostess is kind and helpful, and you can ask her for what you need.

The location is really good, and it could be a great place if peace and quiet are all you care about. Everything else was terrible. We’d said we’d arrive between 8-9pm, but found a locked, dark house with no bell. Nobody came for 10 minutes. We called, and a girl said she’d send someone to meet us. When the woman finally arrived, she made us feel like we were breaking into her home while she slept, and came out with one stupid remark after another. The sheets in both rooms were covered in hair. I think they’d been washed, but they were very old, at least 5-10 years. The mattresses were just as bad, old spring mattresses that were probably over 10 years old, with all sorts of microorganisms and dust inside.

Villa Rosa sits in a forest outside Primorsko, with parking available. It’s conveniently close to Primorsko and Arkutino beach. While you’re there, you’re left to clean up and take out your own trash. There’s no air conditioning, and the mosquito net is torn.
