Family hotel Tropicana

For the price, it wasn’t bad. It’s a small family hotel, and the rooms were decently clean, though I expected a bit more from the advertising. The pool is tiny, and the garden feels like a dark back yard. Breakfast is very basic and doesn’t even come with coffee. It’s a bit too close to the main street, where different loud music can be heard until midnight, and not that close to the beach.

The breakfast was disappointing, with cheap products and not much flavor. The room was very dirty, and the location wasn't great either. There's nowhere to park a car.

The mattress was full of bed bugs, though we didn't notice at first, and the sheets didn't even fit the bed. After five nights, this felt like the worst place to stay. I wouldn't recommend it at all. It was disgusting. We'd booked a pool-view room but were given a dark, damp room on the ground floor. On the second day, we complained because we could hear other people's septic waste running through our bathroom. The man we spoke to didn't seem to care, did nothing, and wouldn't move us. The children of the family running the hotel yelled and screamed in the lobby until 1 a.m. every night. Twice, they banged on our door and woke us up. The listing promised daily housekeeping, and someone did come into our room while we were out, but they didn't clean. By the fifth day, our sheets and towels still hadn't been changed, and the floor hadn't been swept. I complained about everything. Their response was ridiculous and inadequate, although they finally cleaned the room.

The rooms are large and very clean, but breakfast is limited and you have to pay for a cup of coffee. Check-in took longer than it should have, and we had to wait to get into our room. It's a family hotel with no activities, and families with kids shouldn't expect any extras. There are no lifts either. I stayed for five days.
