The food is buffet style, with plenty of choice and average quality. Breakfast drinks are limited, and in the evening there are no drinks to choose from, so bring your own. There's a pool, games room and ski storage, and the free car park has a fair number of spaces. The hotel is a 40-minute walk from Borovets, or a 10-minute drive to the slopes. Free vans run in the morning around 9, 9:30 and 12:00, and in the afternoon around 15:45, 16:30 and 17:00. They can carry skis on the back. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and white bedding. The fridge didn't cool, and the safe was a nuisance. You have to get a key from reception for a daily charge of a couple of pounds. The key didn't work properly in my safe, and the keypad wasn't available. The reception and lobby are comfortable for meeting and having a drink. Reception service was fine, though I had to wait 30 minutes for the hotel to return our passports. They wanted to keep them until the next day, which was frustrating and something I haven't experienced at any other hotel worldwide. Hopefully they'll improve that. The hotel is at the end of a narrow road, but getting there by car was fine, even in the snow. The stay met my expectations, and the place was comfortable and friendly for our week there. I slept well and would return to Festa Cham because the price was reasonable. For that price, we were happy with the service and stay, though a few small improvements would be needed for a five-star review.

The food and facilities were good, and it's a wonderful hotel, especially for families with younger children. The only downside was the shuttle van to the slopes. It comes infrequently on the return trips and is usually full.

The hotel has a clean pool of a good size, plus a good sauna and steam room. There's also a games room for kids, which is canny!@ The modern bathroom had an excellent shower, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, warm, with a good heater. The food was clean and well presented. Beers are cheap, and there's a nice relaxed bar in the hotel, though no pubs nearby. The free bus takes 10 minutes to reach the slopes. By European ski hotel standards, I thought the quality was good. No complaints, though the bar isn't always staffed, so there can be a slight wait. Buy two beers at a time.

The pool was probably the highlight. It's saltwater rather than chlorinated, so it was allergy-friendly and didn't irritate me, and it has a kids' section. The sauna and steam bath were both great, too. The gym was mediocre. My room was clean and tidy, and I didn't try the food or drink services, so I can't comment on them.
