Resort Spa Hotel Medite

The restaurant was good, though not exceptional, and we didn’t enjoy the New Year's Eve dinner. Others we spoke to felt the same. We were disappointed with our stay around New Year's Eve. The hotel calls itself a 5-star spa, but even a 3-star rating would feel optimistic to us. With so many guests, there was only a small sauna, the steam room was out of order, the outdoor pools weren’t very warm, and the jacuzzi didn’t work. Our expensive double room had no balcony. Its tilt window wouldn’t lock and had to stay shut in the strong wind. Hot water cut out from time to time. There were no instructions for the air conditioning, which had limited settings and no continuous temperature control, and cupboard space was very limited. The bed didn’t feel high quality either. The hotel is a bit far from the city center, so walking there from the hotel isn’t appealing. We won’t return.

The professionalism and service were excellent, and Medite Spa has such beautiful energy. I tried the Lomi Lomi massage and was amazed by how unique and unforgettable it was. I highly recommend trying it at least once!

The staff were amazing and the service was very good. The hotel needs maintenance, though. The pools looked old and a bit dirty, and the spa facilities don’t meet a 5-star standard. The room was okay, but the bathroom was old. Dinner was good; breakfast was bad. There’s no fitness facility either. For a 3-star hotel, I’d have found it very good, but not at 5 stars.

The food was delicious, with lots of choices and everything cooked perfectly. We had a great short holiday in a junior suite, which was spacious and had very large, comfortable beds. There are a few pools at different temperatures, so you can pick what suits you. We’ll definitely come back if we travel to Sandanski again.
