The room was much too hot, 29 degrees Celsius, and reception said the central heating couldn’t be turned down, suggesting I open a window to cool it. I sweated through the night and didn’t sleep well. In some of the main areas, it also looked like dusting had been skipped for a while. There were plenty of parking spaces, lots for kids to do, people assigned to play with them around dinner time, and movie screenings. The food was good, with a wide selection, nice fruit and vegetables, and gluten free desserts, though I’m unsure about the main courses. The spa was great: lots of pools with different temperatures, indoors and out, including kid friendly options, plus hot and cold therapy pools and several saunas. The water helped with my skin issues and some joint irritation.

The relaxed atmosphere made it easy to spend five hours here and leave feeling rested and recharged. My wife, our 10 year old, and I booked a spa day, and we were surprised he could use everything, including the steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi. The rules are stricter in the UK and some other countries. There were so many experiences to choose from: 6-7 kinds of sauna, 3 steam rooms, and lots of hot and cold plunge pools. The indoor and outdoor pools were wonderful, and the food bar had local food and beers. I’d highly recommend it for families, and couples looking to relax have plenty of spots too. We’d go back again and again.

There’s a good range of pools, the water is clean, and it’s a relaxing place for children. The restaurant food was excellent, as was the service. Daniela gave me and my family especially personal attention.

I was considering this spa for business meetings and corporate events instead of Baden-Baden because the indoor and outdoor areas are lovely. But the hostess rolled her eyes and made me feel small, stupid, and inconvenienced. I expect basic neutrality from staff, and the open disdain cheapened the whole experience. I’ll go to Baden-Baden instead.

The general manager is genuinely friendly and clearly enjoys making the hotel better. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a great view and a lovely thermal spa and pool area. We’d recommend it 100% and will return with friends and family.
