Dream Hotel

I was embarrassed that I’d booked this place for my boyfriend’s family, who were visiting me in Sliven from the USA. At check-in the hotel seemed okay, though I noticed some shady young men staying there. The staff spoke no English at all, so getting along with them would be hard without someone who speaks Bulgarian. The room looked fine at first, but there was a terrible cigarette smell outside and, as we found out the next morning, smoke had filled the place all night. My guests couldn’t sleep. When I asked the staff why, they blamed the young men I’d seen and said important guests, actors performing in Sliven, were staying that night, so there wouldn’t be smoke and everything would be fine. We gave it another try, but it was worse. The actors had a party all night with lots of smoking and loud music, and my guests couldn’t sleep again. I had to move them to another hotel, thankfully one that wasn’t a trash hole like this one. If you want to sleep without breathing someone else’s secondhand smoke all night, stay somewhere else. It’s not worth your money.
