The restaurant and service were my favorite parts. There’s a great range of fish dishes, including super caviar, and the prices are folk. On busy evenings, bagpipers play, which adds to the atmosphere. The hotel staff are really responsive. Owner Marcho pointed us toward interesting places nearby while we had morning coffee, and the waiter was helpful with choosing food. We stayed with a large group and were very pleased. I was amazed by the room we got for 15 leva, though winter rates are a bit higher. My only comment about the cheaper rooms is that they lack air conditioning. But it was 15-16 degrees outside in August, so that seemed manageable. It’s a wonderful family hotel, and one of the places I’d return to on another vacation. I recommend it!

The rooms were clean and had their own bathroom, shower, and TV. Ours didn’t have a terrace, which was a downside. The hotel is fairly close to the old center. Driving there means quite a climb, while walking, the many stairs cut straight over the hill and shorten the route.
