The apartment is right in central Sofia, on a pedestrian street, and is modern and fully furnished. My only issue was the second bedroom window: it’s large and opens onto the second-floor corridor. There was only a curtain for privacy, and it didn’t block the lights that were always on when other guests came back to their rooms. A door for the second room would also help with privacy.

We had to call several times because the airport shuttle was 15 minutes late, which made us very nervous. The management gives a misleading description of the rooms as private bedrooms, but they have no doors and no privacy, as the pictures show. Despite that, the prices are like regular hotels in the area. There’s zero accountability. This is a hostel with overpriced rooms, not a hotel. Breakfast has no gluten-free or vegetarian options, and there were no cleaning supplies or towels in the kitchen. We were told to buy them ourselves. Don’t waste your money here.

Being able to walk out in any direction and find something worth seeing was a big plus. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby, right in the city center. I stayed for a week and was very happy with the place. The room was clean, the bathroom modern, and the bed comfortable enough that I slept well. The heating worked more than well enough, though I like fresh air and could open the windows. There was a small problem with the entry code, but they sorted it out quickly, and I had no other issues. Management responds fast. Just be aware there’s no elevator, so upper floors could be hard for older guests. I’d recommend it.

You step straight onto a great street for touristy food and drinks, so the location was hard to beat. A friend and I shared the two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, and having a bathroom each was really nice. Both bedrooms were a good size, though one was quite a bit larger. Mine had no door, which felt odd. My friend’s room had a wooden sliding door.
