Duni Royal Pelikan Hotel - All Inclusive

The gardens are amazing, the pools are great, and the hotels and places are lovely. The beach is wonderful too, and the animation team is good, though the disco DJ was very poor. The Italian restaurant is fantastic!

The damp, moldy smell in our room in body A, apartments A3 and A4, was a real downside this year. Last year we stayed in the central building and didn't have this issue. The rooms were clean, so cleaning isn't the problem. They need renovation, at least the ones that smell of mold, which is a shame given the nice, comfortable solid wood furniture. We came back for the beautiful, relaxing setting, and the complex is secure for families with small children as well as teenagers. The animation team runs activities through the day, and the evening shows with professional dancers were good. Food is varied and tasty, the staff are courteous and attentive to requests, and the beach is very clean, with a smooth entry into the water and enough loungers.

There were a few small drawbacks, but they didn't spoil our trip. The food could have been hotter, and the room air conditioning could have been stronger. The pools were great, though a bit rough underfoot, so water shoes might help little feet. The aqua park was loads of fun, and having so many pools, the beach, and restaurants to choose from was lovely. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, and the facilities were great. I booked through first choice and was unsure at first, but needn't have been. The entertainment was fab, and I'd definitely recommend it for families.

The only thing that kept this from five stars was the carpet in our room. It needs a deep clean or replacement, since it has an old carpet smell. The resort itself is beautiful and great value, with fantastic facilities. It's clean, well run, and has good professional staff.
