Even though it was the end of the season, there was some entertainment, which was a lovely surprise. The pools and grounds were lovely, and the hotel was spotless. The food was fresh with lots of choice, and the bedrooms were lovely. Housekeeping deserves credit, and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. We spent our last week of the season here and had a very relaxing stay. We arrived very late but found sandwiches, fruit and bottled water in our room, which we really appreciated. On our last day, we could keep the room until our late pickup, and breakfast and lunch were still provided. There were also afternoon fruit, snacks and drinks. They packed sandwiches and fruit for our trip home and stayed with us until we left. We’d highly recommend the hotel and hope to return. Many thanks to everyone here. The location is one of the hotel's few good points. There was a canal smell coming from the bathroom, check-in at reception was incredibly slow, and the drinks were generally low quality. The food was somewhat okay, though it wasn't served on time. They only had tap water, no mineral water.

It was easy to relax here and get to the sea, since the hotel is right by the beach. There are four pools, including one for children, and the animation team put on enjoyable entertainment. Everything was clean and well maintained. The food had a wide selection that suited everyone in the family, and the staff were fantastic, always friendly and helpful. We had an excellent stay at Hotel Martinez.

The pools were very cold in September, especially the one with the slides, which is meant for children and should have been warmer. There was water in the outdoor pools, but no one dared get in. The afternoon snack selection was extremely limited and unhealthy, with nothing for kids or toddlers. Some fresh fruit like watermelon, melon, peaches or apples would have been nice. We also found wasps on the balconies, and there were mosquitoes around the baby playground, so bring repellent. The children's playroom was locked most of the time, and finding the key was a hassle. Our room's ventilation didn't work properly: even set to heat at 30C, it blew cold air. After 15 September there is no animation or children's buffet. There is live music quite often, nearly every evening. The food was great, the staff friendly, and the new hotel was well maintained. There's a playground suitable for children under 3, enough baby chairs in the restaurant, a convenient location, daily room maintenance, and very nice music during dinner. Wine and beer were unlimited and free. Parking wasn't included. When we asked, they offered outside parking for 20/30lv, though it was easy to find parking for 10lv a day, especially in low season at the end of September. Despite what other reviews say, there wasn't a separate food section for children and toddlers at the restaurant. It was empty in late September. All in all, a great hotel!
