Menada Horyzont Apartments

The location is excellent, and the outside looks good, but the apartments themselves are very poor. Inside, the furniture is dated and badly maintained, and the floors are extremely worn. There are no curtains on the ground floor. The sofa is awkwardly fixed to the table, so four people can't use it unless it's moved to the middle of the room each time. The pillowcases were dirty and hadn't been changed after the previous guests. There's also no working extractor fan, so cooking smells from the neighbor's apartment come in. No internet, no washing machine, and parking costs extra.

The apartments were good, though a few were relatively bad. Still, this is one of the more decent places in the area, clean, quiet, and convenient for families with children. There's a good beach nearby. Outside the area, though, things are dirty, and I found Bulgarians rude, especially the salespeople. Buy some brandy at the market near the port, the price and quality are excellent.

I'd recommend the place and would probably come back. The beach is close, and parking is available for a fee, though it's for Horyzont customers. The apartments feel a bit run-down, especially the bathroom. Water doesn't drain properly, so you have to switch off the shower or the floor turns into a lake. The pool is quite cold, which I actually liked. There are two pools for the whole complex.

The apartment was in excellent condition and really spacious. We had a bedroom with a small balcony, plus a living room and kitchen together with a large balcony. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, a microwave, refrigerator, and oven. There was also a washing machine, iron, and ironing board. The air conditioner could cool to 18 degrees Celsius and had a timer. We were given clean towels, bed linen and covers, soap and shampoo, along with two keys and two chips for opening the entrance gates from either side. The complex is less than 50 meters from the sea and can only be entered with a chip. It has two pools, a small one and a larger one with a toddler section. We took the elevator to our third-floor room. The location is ideal, with the beach 50 meters away, shops even closer, and beachside restaurants and bars at very reasonable prices. The old town is just under a 10-minute walk, with even better restaurants there, including Del Muro and Di Valli. Our hostess was kind and accommodating, and we'd gladly return soon.
