Perfect!

For 680 BGN we spent four nights in a fourth-floor apartment with two separate bedrooms and a large shared terrace. It was good value for the price, and we had a very good stay. The place is cozy and well kept, and the people looking after it were pleasant. It’s pet friendly: we brought two cats, and as far as we could tell there was also a puppy in one of the lower-floor apartments. The large terrace has a table, four chairs, a sun lounger and a clothes rack. There’s another small terrace off the living room with two chairs and a table. In the living room there’s a sofa bed, table, chairs and TV, plus another sofa bed in a separate area. The kitchen is small, with a fridge, microwave and coffee machine, as well as dishes, glasses, utensils and cleaning supplies. There’s no stove or oven. A small table and two chairs are in the kitchen, and the apartment has one bathroom and a hallway with room for shoes. Each bedroom has two single beds, a wardrobe, a mirrored cabinet and bedside tables. One also has a small sofa, while the other has a padded two-seat bench. Both have air conditioning, and the units were powerful enough to cool the whole apartment when we left the bedroom doors open. There’s no AC in the living room. One unit sometimes smelled odd even though its filters had been cleaned. The lights in both bedrooms flickered now and then; we weren’t sure if it was the bulbs or the wiring, and since we didn’t spend much time in the apartment, we didn’t ask about it. It was peaceful, without much noise from cars or people. There’s a lovely garden on the first floors, belonging to the lower apartment, and the entrance area was tidy. The landlady came in each day to look after the property and remove any rubbish or ashtrays we’d left. We hadn’t been told she would come in, but it didn’t bother us. We got one key and didn’t ask for another, though we think they would have given us one if we had. The landlords didn’t pressure us to pay early; we paid on our last day. Parking was offered for 5 leva a day, 20 leva for our stay. Our spot was across the street by the main entrance, no more than a three-minute walk away. The lower-floor apartments have spaces right in front of the main entrance, and we noticed another entrance at the back, which might be for the first-floor apartment. There was an indoor football field for children nearby, right beside our parking space. There’s also a restaurant close by and a coffee machine in front of the apartment. The apartment is around 10-15 minutes on foot from the central beach and 10 minutes from Billa. The stairs home were a bit of a climb, perhaps the equivalent of five or six floors. Overall, it was pleasant and good for the price.

We’ll visit again! The hosts were friendly, and the guesthouse was lovely, with very clean rooms and a nice sea view. Restaurants and the center are close by.

The owners were kind, and the price was good for what you get. Very good value.
