Apartment Trayana

Such a great place.

The apartment looked clean when we arrived in the evening, and at first everything seemed fine. We were a couple traveling to Greece with our 3.5 year old, and had booked one night through booking. The apartment is part of Trayana hotel but sits in the building opposite it. After our child fell asleep, I went back into the bedroom with my phone flashlight so I wouldn't wake him. I was horrified to see bed bugs all over and around his bed. They were crawling on the bed and elsewhere in the apartment. We tried to reach someone, but nobody answered the phone, and the hotel reception was empty. At 1 am we had to wake our child, pack in a hurry, and leave in shock, exhausted and with nowhere clear to go. In the roughly two hours he'd slept, he had been bitten all over, even on his face. I took photos and videos to document what we found, then sent them to the apartment manager and booking so there could be no dispute about it. The manager didn't seem surprised. When we asked for our money back, he began pressuring us to cancel the booking reservation first so we wouldn't be able to leave a negative review, and said we'd get our money back after that. We had to continue our trip to Greece tired, shaken and upset, all three of us. It was the worst experience we could have had. Please be careful, good people, and don't go through what we did.

The apartment across from the hotel looked very clean when we stayed there. There were three adults and a 10 month old baby, and the air conditioning was running in every room. Everything seemed fine at first. The next morning I saw red marks on my hands. A few hours later they started itching badly. I then read a review from another family describing the same problem. It seems I was the only one of us bitten by the bed bugs. Avoid this place.

I've stayed here twice now. Good value, clean, and stylish.
