The restaurant’s older waiter was excellent, quick and ready to help anyone who needed it. The hotel is also near a lively promenade. The room looked nice and was clean, but smelled dusty; I couldn’t tell whether it was the AC or mattress. It was extremely hot inside, including in the bathroom and corridors, even though the weather outside wasn’t very hot. The AC blew cold air straight onto the bed, so we couldn’t sleep with it on, but after turning it off the room was unbearable again within minutes. We tried different settings without finding one that worked. The reception guy could barely communicate, and the lack of English was the least of the problems.

The location was great, the conference rooms were OK, and breakfast was passable, though basic. The coffee was good. But the restaurant only served breakfast, so I had to go elsewhere for other meals. My room was dirty: the floor hadn't been cleaned, there was dust on the desk, and the sheets were old and stained. The bed and pillow were uncomfortable. I asked reception to clean the room during my two-night stay, but they changed the towels, which I hadn't asked for, and left the floor and dust alone. Service was almost nonexistent. I left quite disappointed.

The location is right in the heart of the city, and there’s hotel parking if you’re driving. The rooms are relatively clean, and the heating works well in winter. My bed was very uncomfortable, though, and the bathroom was tiny and quite dark. The hotel needs refurbishment. It’s the biggest in Stara Zagora and probably the best choice for large groups.

The hotel is perfectly located in the city center, and guests can use the convenient parking for a fee. Still, the place gave me an impression of being empty. The main entrance looked poorly maintained, and there was a particular smell in my room, like nobody had been in it for a long time.
