Amara Sugar Hotel

From the outside, the hotel looks really nice, but the materials inside feel very cheap. The beds were uncomfortable and falling apart, and the room doors barely blocked any noise. The handle on the balcony door window frame didn’t secure it properly, so we could hear outside sounds. At 4am, the wind made a really loud whistling noise, and we ended up leaving the hotel.

The food was very tasty and reasonably priced, and there’s a pool and restaurant in the hotel. It’s a new, cozy, clean and comfortable place, and quiet too. The sea is a five-minute walk away. There’s a bus stop and taxis nearby, plus lots of shops, pharmacies, cafes and restaurants.

This was my second stay here this summer, and I’m already keen to return. It’s a beautiful setting for a getaway, close to the beach, restaurants and nightlife. The hotel is designed with great taste, and the rooms are stylishly decorated, comfortable and spotless. The staff are friendly and professional from arrival and take care of your needs. The pool and restaurant setting is lovely, and the food is excellent, with a very good selection cooked to perfection.

The restaurant food was good, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. They even showed us where to park. The room was modern, with mid-to-high-end furnishings, and the industrial style throughout felt carefully thought out. The hotel opened in 2021. It’s a great find at the start of Sunny Beach, set back from the main street. That means a longer walk to the beach, but it’s quieter than places closer to the shore. You get a lot for the price. I’d recommend it for couples or small families, though I haven’t seen the larger apartments. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice.
