Apart Hotel Palazzo

The studio-style room was spacious and bright, and the pool was big and relaxing. The beach was about a 7-10 minute walk away, close enough, though the hotel isn't right on the seafront. A few more sun loungers and perhaps some music around the pool would be nice. Meals were served three times a day. The food wasn't really to my taste, and being served by staff instead of helping myself felt a little uncomfortable at times. I did enjoy the small cakes in the afternoon between 14:00 and 16:00, and the wine and beer were tasty. Rooms were cleaned every five days, which I think could be more frequent.

The pool is near the beach, and the drinks were the only decent part of our stay at Hotel Palazzo in Nessebar. Everything else was dreadful. The food was so tasteless, even the potatoes and cereal, that it made us feel sick. The Wi-Fi didn't work in the other building at all; reception said internet was only available downstairs in one of the two buildings. There was no help. Our rooms were filthy from the start. Mirrors were stained and looked burned, mattresses were torn and full of holes, and everything seemed old and broken. The cleaning staff refused to clean, saying the room was "too dirty." In some rooms the air conditioning didn't work, and nobody fixed it. Reception was rude and unhelpful, and their English made communication almost impossible. Staff acted aggressively and dismissively; everyone seemed angry and unhappy to be there. We felt unwelcome and uncomfortable the whole time. This is the worst hotel I've stayed in. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, even for free, and regret staying. Don't go. It's not worth a cent, and I wouldn't return even if they paid me.

The kids were happy with the animation girls on staff, who were so positive. The hotel was clean and the food was delicious, though it's far from the sea and the beds weren't very comfortable. I liked the hotel overall, and we'll come again.

It wasn't a bad hotel. There were lots of people around 18-30, but they seemed to be having a good time and weren't really that loud. The main drawback is the distance from Sunny Beach's main areas, so expect a walk or to take another kind of transport, like a taxi or train.
