Apartment in Trakia Plaza

We had a lovely vacation, and for a budget-friendly trip I think this hotel could work well. The beach is very close, the pool was clean and fine for swimming, and the food was great, though the selection was weaker on some days. The building looks nice, but the bed was old and sagged, and there were only three sockets, all too far from it. Housekeeping changed the towels and made the bed, but did a poor job of that. The bar was a letdown. The cocktails were disgusting, and most of the alcohol tasted very cheap. Beer was the only thing that was somewhat drinkable. We got good drinks when we asked them to make us something good, though some bartenders didn’t understand because of the language barrier. Staff barely spoke English.

We’ve come back here three years in a row, and the children love it. The restaurant food is all very tasty. The reception staff are really good too. Thanks to Shamito for checking us in so quickly and sorting out our personal requests ❤️ I recommend the hotel.

The rooms are spacious and clean, with air conditioning, and the food is nice and served on time. That’s about where the positives end. The hotel badly needs a full refresh, and the young staff seem to lack the experience and know-how to deliver one. Check-in can be a problem, there’s no Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and there are no big screens for sports. The entertainment program is poor, and the bathroom ventilation doesn’t always work. If you’re choosing it for a cheap family holiday, keep these things in mind.

Renovation work has been going on in the building for five days now, and I can’t wait to leave. The administration hasn’t done anything about it, which is completely unacceptable when you’re paying for a vacation. I’d never recommend this place. Don’t waste your money, find somewhere else to stay.
