Carina Beach

The food was bland much of the time and really terrible on many occasions, so I'd avoid the breakfast and dinner option. The hotel feels dated, with old furniture that needs renovating. No internet and no cable TV!!! In the 21st century, that's unacceptable. A 3.6 rating feels about right, neither too terrible nor too great.

The outside area is clean and tidy, and the pool looks great. We’ve only stopped by for food and drinks about three times this week, and each visit has been really good. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food and prices are brilliant, and the drinks are ice cold. That’s why we keep coming back. We haven’t stayed at the hotel, though we have used the toilet while visiting.

The food was ordinary and inexpensive, though I couldn’t make sense of the tuna bread in the seafood salad. What made the visit not worth it was the wait: about half an hour for two waters, a Fanta and a bottled beer, nothing fancy. They seemed short-staffed around 8:30 on Friday, even though the place wasn’t completely full. The dishes also came out separately, with the pasta first, the skewers about 20 minutes later, then the seafood pasta around 10 minutes after that.

The waiter was arrogant and unhelpful, and the food at the beach restaurant was a disaster. The pizza was pizza in name only, just undercooked dough with ketchup and unappealing toppings. The menu said chicken, but what arrived was chicken ham, not fresh chicken. This is the worst place I’ve ever been, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
