The bar and restaurant just across the road, on the corner, is a real highlight. Good food, beer, fair prices, and friendly service. We always go there, even when we’re not staying at these apartments. The rooms are cleaned daily, and I’d recommend the place. The kitchen could use more utensils if you like to cook, though. There’s no air con in the bedroom, only the living area, so when it’s hot you have to sleep on the sofa. You can’t leave the bedroom window open because there are no fly screens to keep mosquitoes out. Such a shame.

The reception staff were very good, and the location was good too. The room was a 4/10. The floor was dirty and the bed linen had urine stains. I told the cleaners, but they shouted across the stairwell, then brought another set that was clean on top and stained underneath, as if they hoped it wouldn’t show. The beds creaked.

The staff were lovely, always pleasant and ready to help, even the security guard on the night I arrived. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The apartment was great, and housekeeping came every day to clean and change the towels and bedding. I had a fantastic stay, and I’m definitely booking Hotel Efir for two weeks next year.

We were on the top floor and had a very clean, excellent room with two balconies. The kitchen facilities and air con were good, and the chamber lady was lovely. The one downside is the balcony balustrade design, since toddlers could climb on it.

We didn’t have much to complain about and would happily return. The reception team and other staff were always glad to help, whether we needed an iron, a taxi, or a late checkout. Rooms were cleaned daily. They’re pretty standard, but the kitchen is adequate for holiday cooking unless you’re planning three course dinners. The bathroom was fine, though there were no plug sockets or hair dryers. It’s about five minutes on foot to the beach, near the start of a long promenade with bars, restaurants, snack shacks, and the usual holiday shops. The town centre is five minutes away by bus, and Nessebar’s old town is about 20 minutes away. There’s a bus stop right outside. A conductor collects the 2 Lev fare, and it seemed to cost the same regardless of how far we went. The pool is a good size for a dip, with plenty of sunbeds that always seemed to be available. There’s also a small bar serving reasonably priced snacks to go with the beer.
