The worst part was having staff walk into our room without knocking. It felt disturbing and completely disregarded our privacy. Service in general was shocking, with rude staff, no basic courtesy, and no willingness to help. Every request seemed like a burden. The food was cold, tasteless, and clearly not fresh. Calling it hotel food is an insult to hotels. Europe Hotel was a complete disaster. Sunny beach has plenty of other places, so avoid this one.

They surprised our daughter for her birthday at no extra cost, which was so lovely. We enjoyed our stay, and the customer care was wonderful. Staff really looked after us. The food was varied and delicious, and the room was serviced every day. We'd happily recommend it! The only downside is the spa isn't always available. You have to book ahead because the people who provide it aren't hotel staff.

The location was okay, near the beach and a promenade with some nice shops around. The pool looked nice, but the water wasn't heated and was too cold to use except around midsummer or midday in good sun. There's no fitness center. I stayed for three nights in a very small room with a tiny bathroom and no shower cubicle, so showering soaked the whole room. Bigger rooms are available, so make sure you get one. At first there was no water, though maintenance fixed that. After a couple of days we had no hot water. I asked the front desk three times before help finally arrived, after more than half an hour, while I waited sweaty and disgusting. I also asked four times over about three to four hours for extra towels. Each time they said the maid was coming, but nobody showed up. Service was subpar, and the food was bland, usually cold, and not tasty.

The staff were very nice and professional, especially at reception and the bar, and both the room and hotel were very clean. Our room was beautiful and had a sea view. Still, the hotel was boring, with no parties or evening events like other hotels. The pool was ordinary and not good. The food was very bad and barely changed all week. The dining hall food and drinks, unlike the bar, were poor quality, and the snacks between meals were especially bad. Breakfast was very good, but most other meals were nearly the same every day. We've stayed at other three-star hotels with more variety. I also couldn't tell whether the food was halal or kosher. There was no drinking water in the room. For families, the hotel may be good, but the food is a serious letdown.
