Hotel Zaara

It's relatively quiet at night, considering the hotel is next to the main road in Slanchev Bryag, and the beach is very close. The pool is great, and you can take drinks from the bar over to it. The rooms have what you need, and reception can provide extras such as a hairdryer if you ask.

I'd sum it up as a budget hotel. The pool is nice and clean, and breakfast is fine. The location isn't ideal, though the bus stop is about five minutes away and the most popular beach is 15 minutes away. Wi-Fi is poor, and room cleaning simply doesn't happen.

I've stayed here twice, and both visits were really nice. It's cosy, attractively decorated, and has an enjoyable atmosphere. Staff at both the hotel and restaurant are friendly and easy to approach. This time, though, our towels gradually stopped being replaced. There were four of us, but eventually we were left with only two. It's a quieter choice than the hotels a little closer to the strip, which is about a 10-minute walk away.

For 200€ for two people for a week, the price was hard to complain about, and the staff were kind. Our room was okay and having air conditioning was a big plus, but cleaning was poor: the cleaners came only two or three times and never swept or vacuumed. The bathroom was the worst part. The shower was just part of the bathroom, with a single drain under the sink, so even when we tried to be careful, the toilet, sink, and floor got soaked. After one of us showered, the wet floor made it impossible for the other to use the toilet. The hotel is about a 30-minute walk from the center, though we usually took the bus. We had no other difficulties, and for the price I really can't complain.
